1. AndrĂ© was born and raised in Tzaneen, and played in a couple of bands that did quite well, including SAMA nominated band ‘Teerpad’.
2. André Visagie studied music and started in Opera, which he rates gave him a good sense of what quality vocals should be able to achieve.
3. He spends every day practicing and was already quite a good musician around the age of 17.
4. He built his own studio in Tzaneen where he records, as well as produces all his own music and videos.
5. In addition to being an artist, sound engineer, and videographer, André Visagie can also play Guitar, Piano, Drums, and Bass.
6. The reason André follows a methodical DIY approach, is because he feels he has never been able to be fully happy with other people producing his music. He also feels he cannot justify outsourcing the high number of productions hours required to achieve the level of quality he strives for.
7. In the early days of his career, André played in Churches and bands all over Gauteng.
8. His latest single ‘Damwal’ is dedicated to all women who went through or go through any kind of abuse, with a strong reference to the emotional and physical struggles of an abusive relationship.
9. Even though André Visagie is involved in many facets of the industry and his business, the one thing he will never stop doing is make and play music.
10. André has a big love and passion for Metal music.
