The 100 is one of my favourite Science Fiction TV shows. I’ve been following it since it first aired way back in 2014. The show is set ninety-seven years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity’s lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth, in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet. There’s probably a lot that you don’t know about this show, but today I’m changing that.
Here are 21 Facts that you might not have known about The 100
1. The series was developed by Jason Rothenberg. It’s loosely based on the The 100 novel series by Kass Morgan. The series actually started filming before the first book was released. There are 4 books in the series.

15. Eliza Taylor actually never auditioned for the role of Clarke.
16. Clarke is named after Arthur C. Clarke. He was the author of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Other characters were also named for sci-fi authors as well. Octavia was named after award-winning novelist Octavia E. Butler, and Bellamy was named for utopian author Edward Bellamy.
