Anton Edwards is a veteran of the South African music scene, boasting a career built on over 1,500 live performances and a reputation for immense versatility.
He first gained national attention as the frontman of the rock band God’s Zoo, where his songwriting prowess led the single “War” to the top three of 5FM’s Modern Rock Chart.

His creative evolution continued with the Afrikaans alternative project Werkloos, alongside Michael Raubenheimer, which earned critical acclaim and saw their debut single, “Enkeling,” hit number one on regional radio.
Beyond his band projects, Edwards has established himself as a significant solo artist and cultural contributor. He composed the 2026 Mighty Woman Global anthem, “You Are Called,” and has shared the stage with legendary South African acts like Just Jinjer, The Parlotones, and Springbok Nude Girls.
2026 is set to be a landmark year for Edwards, featuring the re-release of his solo album Strangelove – preceded by the single “You Don’t Really Know Me” – and the debut of his second full-length album, Where I Go, There I Am.
These upcoming projects highlight his enduring commitment to growth and his ability to maintain a deep connection with audiences across both corporate and public sectors.
